| Dolgellau is an ancient market town with links going back to gold mining in the surrounding hills. It still has a Farmers Market every month where you can buy wonderful local produce and a genuine stock market weekly. if the weather stops your outdoor pursuits you can spend time browsing around the quaint local shops and enjoy a meal in one of the many good eateries in the town. Dolgellau has a good 9 hole golf course & Bala nearby has golf, an excellant swimming pool and sailing on the lake. For extreme sports , try white water rafting or rock climbing. The Cycle Path down the estuarry to Barmouth, where you cycle over the famous Barmouth Bridge is arguably the best view in the country. |
